Summary
from Goodreads:
Alexander
Lorre gives new meaning to the term "tormented teen." He's a newly
fallen angel, which means he has the self-control of a three-year-old, the
hormones of a teenager and the strength of an angel. When he rescues Gaby Moore
from drowning, the chemistry between them is undeniable. With a local demon
threatening Gaby's life, he struggles to find a balance between remaining close
enough to protect her but distant enough to control his desires.
As
danger draws closer, Gaby uncovers shattering secrets that will lead to an
ultimate choice. Will she fight alongside her father, an earthbound hunter
killing fallen angels and demons, give into the demon blood coursing through
her veins and join the demon world, or save the man she loves from both? The
first two choices damn her, but the last one could destroy them all.

Interview with Gaby Moore
by
Ciara Knight
I’d love to take a moment to introduce Gaby Moore to you.
I’ve shared her story in book I of the Battle for Souls series, RISE FROM
DARKNESS.
Ciara: I’m so sorry for your loss. I know you were close to
your mother. Can you tell us a little bit about her?
Gaby: *deep breath* She was full of life. Always had a smile
on her face and ready to give a warm hug. She homeschooled me so we were very
close. Oh, and she was beautiful. I’ve always been jealous of her ringlet curls
because I take after my dad with his board straight hair.
Ciara: Your mother sounds like she was amazing. How have
things been since the accident?
Gaby: Okay. *Runs toe along seem in worn carpet* It’s been
tough on me, but even worse on Dad. He loved my mom very much.
Ciara: Is he still struggling? I mean, is he drinking?
Gaby: Yes, It’s getting worse. Since we moved to Kemp,
Florida, he’s been gone a lot more. When he does return home he’s usually
carrying a brown bag and stumbles to bed. He’s not the Dad I remember from
before the accident.
Ciara: I’m so sorry. It must be lonely.
Gaby: Yeah, it is. I’m hoping to convince Dad to let me go to
school. Homeschooling just isn’t the same without Mom.
Ciara: Why did your mom homeschool you and why won’t your dad
let you attend school?
Gaby: *shifts nervously* It’s kinda hard to explain, but he
works for the government as a civilian contractor. He’s always served his
country. He’s a Veteran and all that. We move a lot for his job so it was easier
not to enroll in school, but now I’m hoping we will stay long enough for me to
finish high school.
Ciara: We wish you all the best. I hope your dad will let you
attend high school.
Gaby: Me, too.
